Ron Dotzler and Twany Dotzler met in college in Missouri, were married in 1980 and have 14 children.
For 8 years out of college Ron worked as a successful Chemical Engineer in the computer industry. In 1988 he and his family moved into the inner city community of north Omaha and founded Abide, a 501c3 non-profit. Ron is the founder and Board President of Abide.
Ron and his family have worked with many people facing helpless, homeless and hopeless situations and their work has produced amazing inner city transformation. Ron has also done extensive travel developing leaders and working with organizations in India, China, Haiti, Africa (South Africa, Kenya, Sudan), Germany, Spain, Italy, Yugoslavia (Macedonia), Argentina and Mexico.
Josh and his wife, Jennifer, have been married since 2007 and are the proud parents of three children, Joshua (4), Joseph (2) and Julianna, aka lil Moma (1). Josh is the son of Ron and Twany Dotzler, the founders of Abide and Bridge Church.
Josh attended Bellevue West High School and graduated from Creighton University with a degree in Public Relations. He was the starting point guard at Creighton from 2005 to 2009. As the Executive Pastor for Bridge Church and CEO of Abide, Josh and his family serve north Omaha and are committed to building a great city one neighborhood at a time. Josh explains that he never had the intention of taking over Abide but he can see that it has been a part of God’s plan all along.
“God positioned me years before I ever could have envisioned it and has now positioned our family to step into this role. We are humbled and blessed to be a part of what my parents have built for so long.”
