WORLD-CLASS LEADERS

Through the Leadership Network, we invest in emerging voices equipped to impact their cities and beyond by hosting leadership lunches, conferences, and mentoring.

Lighthouse Leaders

Lighthouse leaders have a heart to invest in underserved and marginalized communities. They have a desire to engage in diversity and make a commitment to know and love their neighbors. This happens through connecting with neighbors, caring for the needs of the communit, and calling them into a life of purpose.

They connect with neighbors at least 2-3 hours a week by having dinner with them, engaging in outdoor activities, doing neighborhood beautification and more!

Call

They call their neighbors towards a purposeful life where they can become the leaders God has called them to be!

"I became a light house leader as I knew the Lord was calling me here to connect. Connect with neighbors, leaders, and just people in general as that has been a gift that God had given me and to use it to be intentional with.

When I was 14 I was kicked out and experienced a lot of things that this community has seen or witnessed and God has seen and got me through it all. It may not have looked like the way I have wanted it to look nor was it easy but knowing that Gods' hand was always on me and how He has given me a platform to now show who He is and what He has done in me with so many others has been amazing."

Why did she start Leona's in North Omaha?

Growing up in North Omaha I always had to travel outside of my community to have access to the Arts—specifically dance. I realized at a young age I wanted to provide the same opportunities to kids right here in North Omaha.

In what ways has she seen kids impacted? “

We started out with five students—today we have impacted over 300 students and have a staff of nine. This is a safe space where students can learn, create, and express their leadership through dance.

Why does she feel like leadership is so important?

What has been your purpose in building your business in north omaha ?

My business partner and I were intentional in having our office space in North Omaha. We do business all over the city, which shows the value that comes out of North Omaha.

Why is it important he chose to have his business in North Omaha?

I’ve been able to work and live in North Omaha—it’s... always called it home. It’s about more than providing branding and web services, but giving businesses and our community a chance to grow and build up our local economy.

Why do you believe community leaders are important?

We also wanted to create a space for up-and-coming creatives and web developers. I believe North Omaha is one of the most creative places in Omaha.
